Understanding the Product
Speaking the language in order to sell the software
Knowing the basics of Nexgen's Fibonacci-based software, the T3 Fibs ProTrader, is critical to talking about it effectively. However, a deep understanding of the product is imperative to being a successful salesperson. The difference between product knowledge and product understanding? 'Knowledge' is the facts and figures, while 'understanding' is about realizing how those facts and figures affect and ultimately affect and benefit the owner. Day trading can be very rewarding and as such is very challenging. You must have an intimate knowledge of what the client has gone through, will go through, who they are, their experience level and all of the feelings they will experience during the demo will mean the difference between success and failure as a salesperson.
Knowledge vs. Understanding
Product knowledge vs. product understanding is quite similar to the contrast between features and benefits. And just as “features tell, benefits sell,” a salesperson who focuses on product knowledge without product understanding misses the mark. For example, salespeople who try to sell Nexgen by explaining what it does, and how they will do it will get a demo started but not envoke an emotional connection to the product to produce a sale. You must know why they want to do day trading.
Learn how to day trade by doing the demo first
The best way to make the leap between knowledge and understanding is to use the product yourself. You must be able to get into your client's headspace and emotional triggers so you'll be able to explain exactly how the T3 Fibs ProTrader and our online education are going to give them a solution to their problems.
In many ways, product understanding goes hand in hand with prospect understanding. The more information you have about both your products and your potential customers, the better you'll be able to fit one to the other... the less time you'll waste with matches that are doomed from the start... and the happier your customers will be.
We want you to do the demo, learn the rules, post trades in the chat room, and fill up a trade tracking sheet. By doing what your clients will do, you will be able to relate to little things like being lost on how to post screencast pictures in class or "going through defining wrong vs correct trade setups. John Novak the CEO and developer will be with you every step of the way in order to facilitate the fastest ramp-up possible.
