\

{% endhint %}

***

## Funded / Instant Account Rules

Violating any of these rules will or may immediately disqualify you from Nexgen's ProTrader Funding Evaluation and/or Sim/Live Accounts.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Reaching Your Drawdown Limit:

Do not hit your drawdown limit intraday; drawdowns calculated at the end of the day will still have intraday limits.\
[**Click: For a detailed explanation of how Nexgen calculates Draw-Down.**](https://nexgen-software-services.gitbook.io/nexgen-pro-trader-funding/evaluations/draw-down-explained)

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### **Do Not Trade More Than Allowed Contracts:**

| Account Size | Max Contracts | Mini Contracts | Micro Contracts |
| :----------: | :-----------: | :------------: | :-------------: |
|      25K     |       5       |        5       |        5        |
|      50K     |       10      |       10       |        10       |
|      75K     |       12      |       12       |        12       |
|     100K     |       14      |       14       |        14       |
|     150K     |       17      |       17       |        17       |

Your max position size depends on your account’s contract limit.\
If you trade at max contracts or over 50% of max, you must manage exits carefully:

* You cannot use a market order to exit
* You cannot close using the “X”

To close positions over 50% of max:

* Use smaller market orders (below max) until flat
* If at max contracts, use your Stop or Target to exit

Example: On a 25k eval (max 5 contracts), trading 3–5 contracts will cause rejection if you try to exit with “X” or full-size market orders.

This happens because the system checks the total number of active contracts plus your order size, not whether you’re closing a position.

### **DCA/MAE Rule:**

Nexgen traders will be allowed to scale contracts as they see fit, provided they remain within the account’s defined risk tolerances.

***

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### No Account Flipping:

Traders must maintain reasonable consistency in position sizing and overall trading behavior. Erratic, disproportionate, or unexplained changes in contract size may be treated as inconsistent trading.\
\
Disciplined scaling into winning positions is permitted when it is part of a consistent trading plan.

Practices such as taking oversized windfall trades, trading maximum size without a demonstrated pattern, flipping minimal micro contracts only to create trading days, or repeatedly blowing accounts while seeking large lucky wins may result in review, payout delay, payout denial, account limits, suspension, or account closure.

A trader may not have more than one trading day in a seven-trading-day payout period that Nexgen reasonably determines to be flipping or non-substantive activity. ProTrader accounts must be traded only by the individual named on the account and this agreement
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Risk To Reward Ratio Rule:

Nexgen Traders' #1 goal is to make money. We will NOT penalize unfavorable risk-to-reward ratios provided they remain within the account’s defined risk tolerances.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Holding An Overnight Position:

Margin requirements and Risk are very high, so do not hold beyond 5 minutes before the close at 4:55 PM EST, or your account will be terminated. You will be warned via email for prohibited trading.\ **3 or more**** ****violations will result in account closure**

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Must Meet - 7 Trading Days

***

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### No Account Sharing:

You cannot let someone else trade your account. *You* must be the trader.

Group trading, coordinated trading, or shared trading activity is strictly prohibited. Each trader must independently manage and execute trades on their own accounts.

This includes, but is not limited to:

* Manually copying trades from another person
* Trading side by side using the same entries and exits
* One individual directing or signaling trades to another person in real time
* Spouses, family members, friends, or business partners mirroring each other’s trading activity
* Using the same strategy execution in a coordinated manner across multiple individuals

All accounts must reflect independent trading decisions and risk management. Accounts identified as participating in coordinated or group trading activity may be suspended, failed, or permanently banned at our discretion.\ **1 v****iolation will result in account closure**

***

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### News Trading:

Nexgen has no restrictions on trading during any news events on Evaluation & Sim/Live Accounts.

***

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Intentional Account Hedging:

Nexgen strictly prohibits any form of hedging or offset trading designed to reduce, neutralize, or transfer risk between accounts, products, traders, or contract months.

Engaging in these activities may result in immediate account termination and permanent disqualification from trading with Nexgen.

The following examples, but not limited to, are prohibited:

Example

Status

Long NQ / Short MNQ

Prohibited – Same underlying market

Long ES / Short MES

Prohibited – Same underlying market

Long ES / Short NQ

Prohibited when used as a correlated index hedge

Long ES / Short YM

Prohibited when used as a correlated index hedge

Long NQ (June) / Short NQ (September)

Prohibited – Same underlying market across different contract months

Long in Account A / Short in Account B

Strictly Prohibited – Cross-account hedging

Long position held by one trader while a spouse, family member, or related party holds the opposing position

Strictly Prohibited – Related-party coordination

This policy applies regardless of account type.

Any attempt to circumvent this policy may result in account closure, forfeiture of account privileges, and a permanent ban from the Nexgen platform.\ **1 v****iolation will result in account closure**

***

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Market Limit Up/Down:

If a market is limited up or down, you cannot place a trade for *5 minutes* after trading resumes. This hasn't happened in a long time, but it will again one day, so remain vigilant.

{% endstep %}

## Legacy Account Payout Rules

**Legacy-funded accounts (old rules) start with NEXLIVE and must meet 7 Trading Days for payouts.**

<details>

Minimum Payout Rule

* The minimum payout request is **$500 USD.**
* You must have at least **$600 in your account balance above your account buffer** to request a withdrawal.

</details>

<details>

Payouts Are Based On What You Make in Each Payout Period

You can only request a payout based on the profit you make during that payout period. If you make more profit than you withdraw, the extra profit may still help move your drawdown up under our rules, but it cannot be saved and withdrawn in a later payout period. Please see the **Payout Cap Model Above** for more details.

For example, if you make $12,000 in one payout period and then make $1,500 in the next payout period, the most you can request in that next payout period is $1,500.

This rule is in place to ensure payouts are based on consistent performance and to prevent traders from running up a huge balance and then using profits from an earlier payout period to support future payout requests.

</details>

<details>

40% Consistency Rule

* In any 7-trading-day payout cycle, **no more than 40% of total profits** may come from a single trading day.
* If one day makes up more than 40%, no payout will be processed until further trading reduces that day’s weight to 40% or less.

**Consistency % = (Largest Profitable Trading Day ÷ Total Profits Since Last Payout) × 100**

</details>

<details>

Payout Eligibility At Time Of Processing

Any payout request is subject to the requested funds remaining available in the trading account at the time the payout is processed. If subsequent trading losses reduce or eliminate those available funds before the payout is issued, the payout amount may be reduced, delayed, or denied accordingly.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nexgen-software-services.gitbook.io/nexgen-pro-trader-funding/funded-account-info/legacy-account-rules-discontinued.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
